The Samburu Game Reserve, known for the uncommon reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Gerunuk, and Somali ostrich, is reached by Mt. Kenya, past coffee fields. From there, you continue to L. Nakuru, renowned for its rare animals and birdlife.

Itinerary

Day 1

NAIROBI/ SAMBURU

0800 hrs: Drive through coffee fields and over Mount Kenya to the Samburu Game Reserve, which is home to the rare reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerunuk, and Somali ostrich. In-transit picnic lunch and game drive. Dinner and a night spent camping.

Day 2

SAMBURU

Another full day in Samburu Game Reserve with early morning and late afternoon game viewing. Meals and overnight at the Camp.

Day 3

SAMBURU/ L.NAKURU

After breakfast, depart while on a wildlife drive. In order to descend into the Great Rift Valley, where L. Nakuru is situated, drive beyond the northernmost point of the Aberdare Mountains. On the way, stop for a picnic lunch; arrive in the late afternoon. a camp meal and an overnight stay.

Day 4

NAKURU/ NAIROBI

After breakfast, travel to Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive. At 1200 hours, have lunch before leaving for Nairobi. Dropped off where you choose.
